Our mission
HeadOn Health’s mission is to help every person with a brain injury to manage their recovery.
The problem
Millions of people sustain a concussion every year. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can help patients manage their symptoms after a concussion. However, limited availability, high costs and lack of awareness means patients do not routinely receive CBT after a concussion.
Our solution
HeadOn is a digitally delivered CBT program designed specifically for concussion. It includes practical information and evidence-based tools and techniques to help patients manage their recovery after a concussion.
Our team
HeadOn has been developed by a group of Edinburgh-based doctors and psychologists, with funding from the UK National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and in partnership with the University of Edinburgh:
Mr Aimun Jamjoom - Founder and neurosurgeon-in-training
Christine d’Offay - Director, MScR Population Health Science candidate
Dr David Gillespie - Clinical Lead, Consultant neuropsychologist
Prof Alan Carson - Scientific Advisor, consultant neuropsychiatrist
Dr Laura Alexander - Scientific Advisor, clinical psychologist
